Eating fresh cilantro is an excellent way to remove heavy metals from the body. Properties in cilantro binds with mercury, lead, and aluminum in the tissue and is excreted in the urine. Research supporting this can be read here.
The dosage is two tablespoons a day for two to three weeks but in my opinion who could ever get enough cilantro? For optimal results, the cilantro should be consumed raw. This is a yummy recipe for Cilantro Pesto that I eat by the spoonfuls. For those who aren’t quite that enthusiastic about cilantro, you can eat this with rice and beans or mixed in a salad dressing.
Cilantro Pesto
ngredients
2 bunches cilantro, cleaned
4 cloves garlic
1/4 cup almonds
1/4 cup sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds
juice of lemon
flaxseed oil
sea salt to taste
red chili pepper flakes to taste
Directions:
Blend in food processor until smooth, adding more flaxseed oil as needed. Water can also be added to create a smoother consistency. Garnish with parmesan cheese if desired.
This can be used to detox the body from heavy metals. Consume 2 tablespoons a day for at least two weeks to sufficiently begin the removal process.
